Overview
The Chrysler 300 is Chrysler’s full-size sedan which returned to a rear-wheel-drive platform for the 2005 model year with a bold new signature design. The 300C trim level draws its name from the Chrysler “letter series” cars of 50 years ago and is powered by the modern version of the legendary HEMI V8 engine. The high-performance 300C SRT8 is powered by a 425-horsepower 6.1-liter HEMI V8 engine.
The 2009 Chrysler 300 features a comfort-tuned suspension for the 300 Limited and 300C while the 300C Heritage offers the same performance steering, suspension and shocks as the Dodge Charger Daytona R/T for drivers look for a more sport-tuned suspension. The 300C is powered by a new 360-horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with MDS that shuts off fuel delivery to four cylinders when full-power is not needed, resulting in fuel-economy improvement of up to 20 percent. For 2009 all-wheel-drive Chrysler 300 versions are now equipped with Active Transfer Case and Front-axle Disconnect. The 300C Heritage features a chromed grille and 20-inch chromed wheels, while the 300 LX receives standard 17-inch machined aluminum wheels. The 2009 300C SRT8 features a new grille, new ABS and ESP calibration, revised suspension tuning and improved fuel economy.
The 2010 Chrysler 300 continues unchanged from the 2009 model year.
